In John 13:34-35, Jesus told His disciples, “A new command I give you: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” As the family of God, we are bound together not just by preference or convenience, but by the Gospel itself. Our love for one another is a reflection of the love we’ve received from Christ.
At The Bridge, we practice covenant membership because we believe it is the best way for us to faithfully pursue the type of community that God has called the church to be. We join a church, not because we want to receive something as consumers. Instead, we covenant together as people who joyfully sacrifice our time, energy, and resources for the good of others in the body.
For this reason, membership at The Bridge entails more than simply walking an aisle or signing a form. The first step in this process is to attend Foundations, a seven-week small group centered around The Bridge's mission. Discover, a one-hour introduction to the structure and culture of The Bridge, meets periodically throughout the year. If you would like information on Foundations or Discover, fill out this form.
