What is Community Christmas?
Community Christmas is a shopping experience about celebrating and bringing our city together. It's about building relationships and offering dignity to each individual who participates. Individuals and families through participation in programs offered by our local partner organizations will have the opportunity to earn “Christmas Cash” with which they can purchase gifts for their loved ones at the Community Christmas shop on November 30 and December 1.
Who are the partner organizations?
Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Clubs NCL, Life Choices NCLA, DART, The Well, and Teach One to Lead One
How can I help?
We want Community Christmas to truly be a community-wide event. Businesses and organizations can sponsor activities at Community Christmas or send employees to group serve during the event . We'd also love for individuals, families, and small groups to volunteer to serve as store workers (cashiers, baggers, shopping helpers, stockers, and organizers), activity workers (kids crafts and games, snacks, drinks), or be a part of a set-up and tear-down team. See a list of volunteer needs and shift times here.
